Requirements
  • Two years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and patient care skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service using Olympic Medical Center’s C.A.R.E. standards.
  • Process, authorize, and schedule provider orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing and medical care with internal and external departments.
  • Understand the authorization process and participate in obtaining prior authorization when necessary.
  • Coordinate health information between departments and caregivers under applicable HIPAA laws.
  • Use electronic repositories for health information and insurance coverage information to exchange secure data.
  • Document patient care in the electronic health record in a timely manner and according to documentation standards.
  • Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system according to the provider’s plan of care.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree in healthcare or business.
  • Prior experience with insurance authorizations and Epic.
