Job Introduction
dmg::media are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP). The HRBP is a strategic partner to the organisation, responsible for aligning HR initiatives and functions with business objectives. The HRBP works closely with business leaders to provide expertise, guidance, and support in all aspects of human resources management.
Main Responsibilities
- To develop a strong partnering relationship with senior managers and directors in the designated areas of the business, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans which support their business goals and drive sustained business performance.
- Work with senior leaders to identify and plan the learning and development of their teams in order to improve performance, capability and wider talent development to further the objectives of the business.
- Lead, advise and guide the scoping and implementation of any organisational restructures, providing challenge and insight to the wider business strategic direction and business unit goals.
- Support and develop business leaders in the identification of talent. Provide guidance and advice on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals, and in conjunction with the business, develop robust succession plans with actions clearly identified and planned for.
- Oversee, coach and support managers with performance management and provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations issues – calling in specialist support where required.
- Advise, guide and support employees on all HR disciplines and policies to ensure HR practices are implemented in a consistent manner.
- Devise and implement recruitment strategies for senior roles within the business unit.
- Keep abreast of current legislation and trends in order to develop practical and appropriate polices and procedures.
- Support and deliver projects as specified both within business units or group wide (acting as an HR lead project manager, where required) including and participating in organisational development initiatives in support of dmg media vision and values.
Person Specification
- Extensive HR experience, including business partnering and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the organisation.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in project management and change management.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in HR analytics.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Experience of working in a media business is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent questioning and analytical skills.
- Clear understanding and adoption of best practice principles
- High degree of drive, energy, self-confidence and commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent record of achievement resolving difficult casework problems.
- Experience of TUPE transfers.
- Preferred – experience of working with Workday HRIS
