Requirements
  • Three years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in health care.
  • Prior experience encompassing customer service, community relations, or physician relations is advantageous.
  • A proven track record of effectively increasing business.
  • Current knowledge of home health practice and Medicare coverage guidelines is preferred.
  • The ability to speak clearly and effectively before small and large groups.
  • The ability to communicate orally and in writing and to be literate in the English language.
  • Excellent oral communication and effective listening skills.
  • The ability to develop and maintain working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize, learn new skills and techniques in patient care delivery, and learn and use supportive services.
  • The ability to see, hear, and speak to communicate effectively.
  • A valid North Carolina driver's license and an operational vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Implement the sales and marketing plan in the designated region.
  • Participate in developing the sales and marketing plan.
  • Achieve or exceed the budgeted level of admissions in all programs through effective sales techniques.
  • Identify new referral sources and opportunities in the territory.
  • Develop relationships with referral sources.
  • Increase public awareness of the agency.
  • Represent the agency at community events.
  • Provide direct education regarding home care services to referral sources, physicians, and the community.
  • Serve as a resource for staff.
  • Maintain effective, productive relationships with area referral sources.
  • Organize and perform work effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain and adjust the schedule to enhance team performance.
  • Maintain and promote customer loyalty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to referral sources, presentations, and group meetings.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • An LPN or RN license.
  • Sales or marketing experience in health care.

Well Care Health has appointed Sheila Ellison as Vice President of IT. Family-owned and -operated, Well Care Health has delivered five-star quality home healthcare to patients across North Carolina and South Carolina for more than 38 years. With locations in Wilmington, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, and Myrtle Beach, the organization serves more than 45 counties and a patient census of approximately 5,000. Through its Home Health and Hospice divisions, Well Care continues its mission of keeping communities healthy, happy, and at home, supported by a distinctive culture known as the "Well Care Way." In this role, Sheila Ellison will lead the strategic direction of technology across the Home Health and Hospice agency, ensuring alignment with clinical, financial, and regulatory priorities. She will oversee the organization's managed services partnership, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure strong data security and compliance to support continued growth and high-quality patient care. Sheila is a great placement as the new Vice President of IT. Sheila Ellison brings extensive experience in healthcare technology and digital transformation. Most recently, she served as Principal of Digital Transformation & Technology Strategy at SE Medical Consulting, advising health systems on IT strategy, AI adoption, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Prior to this, she held leadership roles at Tidelands Health, including Head of IT Innovation & Operations, where she led enterprise digital initiatives across a multi-hospital system. Earlier in her career, she held roles spanning consulting, operations, and business development across healthcare and technology organizations. Sheila holds a Master of Health Information Technology from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the Darla Moore School of Business.
