Requirements
  • Relevant experience developing engaging programming, drafting communications and appeals, supervising student workers, and recruiting and motivating volunteers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Creativity, discretion, good judgment, flexibility, and accountability for meeting goals.
  • Some evening and weekend work and business travel are required.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to integrated annual fund participation strategies and annual giving goals based on analysis of past campaigns and constituency groups.
  • Set communication plans and schedules for annual giving initiatives and ensure appeals are developed and deployed on time.
  • Draft annual giving appeals and written materials for solicitation and collaborate with Communications and Marketing on editorial and brand alignment.
  • Maintain appeal, gift, campaign, and donor information in the Raisers’ Edge database and prepare reports on giving, goals, and pledges.
  • Maintain the annual giving report schedule and complete donor recognition activities.
  • Implement, promote, and support alumnae/i events and programs, including on-campus, local, virtual, Reunion, Homecoming Weekend, and affinity group programming.
  • Serve as lead at alumnae/i events on campus and in the tri-state area.
  • Assist with a multi-year regional travel and event schedule.
  • Coordinate University Athletic fundraising initiatives with the Department of Athletics and provide fundraising, logistical, operational, gift acknowledgment, and record-keeping support.
  • Support the President’s Associates Council by planning, promoting, and implementing invitations, catering, scripts, programs, and other event phases.
  • Oversee the student employment program, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating approximately 8–14 students.
  • Plan comprehensive training for student ambassadors and Dolphin Dialers who secure contributions by telephone.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and steward alumnae/i class ambassadors and volunteers.
  • Serve as a back-up gift processor by completing gift batches, financial deposits, and acknowledgment production.
  • Support the Alumnae/i Association, its executive board, standing committees, and chapters.
  • Participate in University-wide and Advancement events, especially fundraising events.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Raisers Edge development software.
  • Prior experience in higher education fundraising.
