Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or another related subject preferred
  • 3+ years of research experience in equity research, investment banking, private equity, or related financial services
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation techniques, internal rate of return, asset allocations, fund benchmarks, KPIs, etc.
  • Strong interest in or knowledge of private market transaction activities
  • Strong interest in or knowledge of the industrials landscape
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other research analysts
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write clear and insightful research reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
  • Help develop and lead PitchBook’s coverage of the industrials space
  • Engage with investor and corporate clients for various purposes
  • Create an industrials taxonomy for client use
  • Consistently publish research on industry overviews, market trends, subsector landscapes, etc.
  • Utilize data and resources for actionable analysis
  • Support research-driven sales efforts
  • Manage distribution channels for published notes and reports
  • Contribute to internal platform development
  • Work with data analysis team for unique data points and visual analyses
  • Manage inquiries from clients, press, colleagues, and the public
  • Support and mentor junior analysts
  • Serve as research point of contact for speaking engagements and press requests
  • Support company initiatives and projects
