- Bachelor's degree (minimum).
- Significant experience in documenting and developing content for both traditional board wargames and computer wargames.
- Capability to create comprehensive instructional materials on wargaming theory, educational wargaming techniques, and wargame facilitation in support of subject matter expert instruction.
- Ability to develop and format curriculum materials and training documentation to effectively support mentorship of Marines, Sailors, other service members, Interagency, and International Military Officers through content creation, revision, and updates.
- Foundational knowledge of wargaming concepts and associated skills.
- Capability to document and support wargaming program assessments or assessment activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive wargaming content in support of Marine Corps University educational objectives.
- Create detailed Game Books, Concept Briefs, Scenario Files, Discussion/Facilitation Guides, After-Action Reports, and Student Assessments.
- Develop immersive gaming scenarios.
- Craft detailed learning objectives.
- Structure assessment criteria.
- Ensure content aligns with Marine Corps University educational goals.
- Support faculty development initiatives at Command and Staff College.
- Provide general support to other Marine Corps University schools as needed.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills.
- Translate complex military concepts into engaging educational experiences.
- A master’s degree in Game Design, Wargame Theory, Military Studies, National Security, or other related fields is preferred.
- A military background that includes resident or non-resident Professional Military Education courses at an Intermediate Level School (Intermediate Level School equivalent to Command & Staff College) is preferred but not required.
