Requirements
  • Quebec Real Estate License is required
  • Post-secondary education majoring in business administration, finance, geography/urban planning or equivalent
  • 10+ years related strategic real estate management experience – Ideally transactions, strategy and asset management
  • Strong management experience managing a large team for at least 5 years
  • Must have valid driver’s license to commute to client’s premises. Must be willing to do some limited travel within Canada
  • Must have experience and a solid understanding of leasing, lease admin and tax appeal disciplines.
  • Asset management, real estate valuations and lease audits also an asset
  • Understand real estate concepts such as (NPV, NER, DCF, cap rates, reversionary values, total cost of ownership and or occupancy)
  • Develop the Realty Solutions team – supporting the Corporate Real estate team’s strategies, enhancing customer relationships within the broader corporate, enhanced tenant improvement work (offer choice and deliver in timely fashion on budget.). Promote innovative workplace concept for client consideration and lead test pilots and full roll out of these concepts where applicable (e.g. Agile work environment).
  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic alliances with external industry contacts including but not limited to: Developers, Real Estate Brokers (and Capital market groups), asset managers and other corporate real estate professionals.
  • Have experience on either the Corporate Real Estate side or on the Service provider side with a good understand of the relationship between the two.
  • Strong leadership skills – able to motivate and lead a team. Attract and retain top talent. Encourage a hardworking, fun environment.
  • Confident communicator with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understands strategy and is able to articulate strategic initiatives that support client goals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a large team of people – attracting and retaining top talent. Encouraging and motivating team in a fast-paced difficult environment. Encouraging change management.
  • Ensures clients’ needs are met by identifying and providing strategic recommendations to improve data and reporting, interpret data, and optimize processes and tools.
  • Leads the review, development, implementation and improvement of policies, processes, tools/technologies and resources.
  • Supporting clients with all special initiatives including transactions and workplace strategy and experience.
  • Act as thought leader in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Support enterprise solutions working closely in collaboration with the VP and other internal leaders (Project Management, Finance, Operations, etc.)
  • Ensure BGIS account goals and corporate goals are met – including: KPIs, Service Delivery Plans, guaranteed Savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies: code of conduct, HR, H&S.
