Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a similar area is required.
  • At least six years of in-house or agency public relations experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow accounts and build client relationships is required.

  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary client lead and day-to-day lead on account teams, setting account direction and identifying public relations priorities that map to clients' business objectives.
  • Lead the development of informed and targeted media plans and campaigns from ideation through execution.
  • Drive media results through outreach and creative story ideation.
  • Produce and/or edit written content.
  • Lead and deliver client presentations, including reporting and planning.
  • Support agency development projects, including new business pitches, company trainings, team events, and recruiting.
  • Coach and mentor internal team members and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Manage the SBS Fellowship program.
  • Recommend team staffing to ensure account coverage and complementary skills.
  • Support scope-of-work and budget conversations with clients while working with Senior Directors and Vice Presidents.
