Requirements
  • Leadership and/or Ticket Checking Lead experience is required.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated and able to maximize use of time and resources.
  • The candidate must work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours while the resort is operating.
  • The candidate must be able to work flexible schedules.
  • The candidate must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 30 pounds occasionally.
  • The candidate must perform repetitive tasks.
  • The candidate must be able to stand, bend, reach, speak, and sit for extended periods on a constant basis.
  • The candidate must work outside in extreme cold and changing weather conditions for long periods.
Responsibilities
  • Efficiently perform all duties of a Ticket Checker.
  • Interact with guests at every opportunity and provide customer service.
  • Set up and break down multiple lift mazes daily.
  • Lead Ticket Checkers in assigned tasks and projects.
  • Adhere to company and department policies and procedures and set an example for others to follow.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Ensure all breaks are completed in accordance with Department of Labor policies.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of mazes and staff and audit supplies and documentation throughout the day.
  • Assist with physically demanding tasks such as shoveling.
  • Conduct crowd control in lift lines.
  • Identify and delegate tasks to Ticket Checkers throughout the day.
  • Encourage a safe work environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Skiing or snowboarding experience is preferred.

Crystal Mountain is a year-round mountain resort in Washington's Cascade Range and part of Alterra Mountain Company. It operates skiing and snowboarding terrain, lifts, lessons, rentals, dining and guest services during winter, with sightseeing and mountain activities extending the destination beyond the ski season. Resort employees work across mountain operations, hospitality, safety, food service and facilities. Crystal Mountain is distinct from similarly named resorts in other states, with its identity anchored to the Mount Rainier region.
