Role Overview

The Detection Platform team builds software which empowers security practitioners to build, maintain, and extend detections to outpace the adversary.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Detection Platforms team. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing the core detection capabilities of our market-leading XDR solution, working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with an experienced, cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and security experts. If you love computer security and digging into complex engineering challenges, then we want your help to protect organizations in the digitally connected world!

We operate our systems at scale with high availability and elasticity. Our primary tech stack consists of Golang, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and GraphQL, but we also use tools like S3, ScyllaDB, Redis, SQS and many other AWS services.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years of software development experience in languages such as GoLang, Java, Scala and a solid foundation in algorithms and data structures
• A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, or similar systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, etc
• Testing and troubleshooting skills with the ability to walk from UI down to backend services and track where problems are happening
• Experience developing and deploying production systems with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and orchestrations systems like Kubernetes
• Experience working with blended teams of backend and frontend engineers, product managers, and user experience researchers
• Knowledge of cyber security domain
