Requirements

- Have 5+ years in online fraud risk or other adversarial problem areas, 10+ years of work experience overall
- 5+ years of people management experience, ideally in Fintech and / or Risk
- Be a strong analytical thinker - you are metrics-driven and results oriented
- Be an excellent collaborator and communicator - you work effectively with all functions, including Eng, Support, Compliance, Product, and DS to drive outcomes
- Be comfortable with decision making in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
Responsibilities
- Lead a group responsible for conducting fraud and disputes decision making, building risk know-how, and mitigating financial risk
- Balance financial goals with user experience - minimize losses as well as friction
- Partner cross-functionally to drive strategic projects to mitigate fraud and abuse, address product loopholes and improve our defenses
- Optimize fraud processes, procedures and strategies to improve operational efficiency
- Drive short- and long-term initiatives to enhance risk performance
- Become an expert on Mercury's products, and Risk's program, policies, and tools
