Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience across M&A integration, project management office work, operations leadership, or consulting, including at least two integrations personally run end to end.
  • Direct experience in home services, skilled trades, or another multi-site, technician-driven business, including understanding of dispatch boards, flat-rate pricing, and technician truck and pay-plan considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to write process documentation that people use.
  • Ability to work with founders and family owners using empathy and candor, including delivering difficult news without damaging relationships.
  • Strong project management discipline and willingness to travel on short notice.
Responsibilities
  • Own the post-letter-of-intent through Day 100 process for each tuck-in, coordinating the acquiring brand's general manager with corporate finance, human resources, information technology, and marketing.
  • Build each integration plan, including Day 1 readiness, 30-, 60-, and 100-day milestones, a decision log, and a risk register.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the seller and its leadership through close and transition.
  • Design the offer, communication, and onboarding sequence for acquired technicians, installers, and customer service representatives.
  • Partner with human resources on offer letters, benefits transition, pay-plan mapping, and licensing continuity.
  • Manage seller and key-employee transition agreements, earnout mechanics, and customer relationship handoff.
  • Lead migration onto the platform stack, including field service management, enterprise resource planning, payroll and human resources information systems, phones and call tracking, and dispatch.
  • Convert customer lists, open jobs, warranties, service agreements, accounts receivable and accounts payable, and price books without service interruption.
  • Coordinate licenses and permits, insurance and bonding, Department of Transportation and fleet registration, vendor accounts, leases, and utility transfers.
  • Sequence the rebrand with marketing, including fleet wraps, uniforms, signage, number porting and call routing, Google Business Profile and review transfer, and site redirects.
  • Protect inbound call volume and review equity through the name change.
  • Create a documented, version-controlled integration playbook with a master checklist by function, RACI, standard timeline, communication templates, diligence request lists, and a Day 1 kit for the acquiring general manager.
  • Build the integration dashboard and scorecard and run a structured retrospective after every deal.
  • Train brand general managers and future integration managers to execute with decreasing central support.
  • Contribute operational diligence covering technician roster quality and compensation benchmarking, call volume and lead sources, membership-base health, fleet condition, callback exposure, and warranty exposure.
  • Feed integration cost and timing assumptions back into the deal model to support underwriting.
  • Personally lead the next several integrations end to end while building a repeatable process for absorbing acquired contractors.
Desired Qualifications
  • ServiceTitan implementation or migration experience.
  • Experience in a private-equity-backed roll-up or platform company.
  • Finance literacy sufficient to read a quality-of-earnings report, understand working-capital adjustments, and track synergy capture.
  • Field or trade experience of any kind.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Sitreps claimed 150+ veteran placements and 40+ partner companies by August 2026.
  • The August 2026 open roles list showed 44 searches, signaling active demand.
  • ARR partnerships, the 2026 Austin pitch competition, and monthly meetups expand monetization channels.

What critics are saying

  • Revenue depends on partner hiring; 2026 budget freezes kill placements within weeks.
  • Free content attracts veterans, but employers fund Sitreps only when roles stay open.
  • LinkedIn, internal recruiters, and veteran nonprofits can copy sourcing workflows and compress margins.

What makes Sitreps unique

  • Sitreps combines veteran media, events, and recruiting under one community flywheel.
  • Kyle Ely and Wyatt Frasier sell through shared military credibility and operator networks.
  • The platform targets PE, SMB, and defense-tech hiring with veteran-specific screening.
