Finance Business Partner

Job Description

AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland. Ireland Business within Infrastructure division have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team based in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner and responsible for the financial management of the Ireland business.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls as well as external regulatory compliance for the legal entity.
• Lead contact for statutory audit and internal audit for the legal entity.
• Overseeing the VAT preparation, review and ensuring adherence to local VAT legislation.
• Responsible for monthly reconciliations, internal trade reporting, group monthly, quarterly returns.
• Prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with the internal policies and procedures.
• Conduct monthly reviews scrutinising and challenging the accuracy and reliability to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and to reduce financial risk.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement following the implementation of ERP Oracle to maximise efficiency and enhance reporting for decision making capabilities to ensure focus on achieving results.
• Oversee cashflow forecasting to maintain adequate liquidity for both operational and strategic activities.
• Assist SFBP in preparation of Budgets/Forecasts and long term plans.
• Provide financial analysis of business performance against budgets/forecasts/KPI’s and insights to support decision-making to drive improved performance and growth.
• Partner with cross functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Support the Managing Director as and when necessary.
• Provide financial support to the project technical team as required.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant with several years’ experience (ACA or equivalent).
• Strong academic record.
• ERP Oracle experience is desirable.
• Demonstrable growth mindset, strong record of collaboration.
• Strong sense of ownership, drive and ability to deliver results.
• Curious about business and its drivers.
• Resilient and agile.
• Good team player with positive attitude.
• The role will require travel.

Competencies:

• Well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters relevant to the geography.
• Strong people skills; comfortable in interacting with delivery, sales, functional and operational staff at all levels of seniority.
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
