Position Overview

We’re looking for a Product Manager with a passion for technology to build Beacon’s highly technical digital products. In this role you will be responsible for shaping the product vision, gathering requirements from internal stakeholders and clients, proposing new features and maintaining the product roadmap for Beacon Core products. In particular, this role is focusing on Beacon’s developer toolset: IDE, test frameworks, SDLC and deployment. You’ll be responsible for working directly with the engineering team to translate customer and business outcomes into deliverable scope and accountable for execution and delivery. You’ll also be responsible for building strong connections with customer-facing teams (technical support, customer success, account management, etc), ensuring a tight product feedback loop, and coordinating smooth, high-quality feature launches. This is a highly cross-functional individual contributor role.

What You’ll Do

• Work with the Senior Product Manager to develop products which will increase the customer base and revenues for the company
• Interact with external users and propose key platform features that best serve them
• Develop business cases for new products and features
• Validate product ideas and prototypes with early adopters
• Work closely with product marketing and our client community to launch new features and drive product awareness and adoption
• Design and implement key usage metrics to better inform our business strategy and product investment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager in a technical field
• A working knowledge of the Python language and ecosystem
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices - understanding of developer tools and workflow
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and concepts
• Demonstrated experience working with engineering teams to break down requirements into timeboxed, deliverable user stories with acceptance criteria
• An understanding of the product development lifecycle from product discovery, creation, launch, and iteration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate succinctly and adjust communication style based on audience
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to understand a complex product and its use cases
• Experience leading through influence; ability to communicate and empathize with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to motivate and help engineers understand the vision and the "why" behind what they’re building
• Experience working with data to identify trends, generate insights, and solve problems
