Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of daily World Class Client service experience, or a minimum of 6 years of industry experience with increasing responsibility directly related to the duties, including 3 or more years of daily World Class Client service.
  • Maintain a valid unrestricted California Fire and Casualty license and a valid driver's license.
  • Achieve and maintain advanced insurance designations applicable to the duties, such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter or Certified Insurance Counselor designations.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of insurance terminology, industry trends and factors influencing the industry, and the various lines of Business Insurance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Prioritize tasks, set and achieve goals, think logically in solving problems, and present results neatly and clearly in oral and written form.
  • Present complicated information to varied interest groups clearly and unambiguously, connecting with the group through appropriate style and content.
  • Use a computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods, and use office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, and telephones.
  • Travel to client sites as required, usually within driving distance and occasionally involving a one- to two-night stay.
Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for assigned client accounts and other accounts as assigned.
  • Oversee ongoing account service activities, including preparing monthly production and activity reports, managing and collecting receivables with the Client Sales Executive, coordinating account activities, reviewing and delivering summaries, proposals and policies, leading and participating in client meetings, maintaining current insurance summaries, updating COWs annually, and meeting client-service commitments such as stewardship reports and pre-renewal meetings.
  • Participate in new business development and proposals with the Client Sales Executive, pursue opportunities to expand existing client programs with additional or increased lines of coverage, coordinate coverage placement through the service team, and deliver binders and invoices.
  • Manage all facets of the renewal process, including initiating client contact, orchestrating renewal strategy meetings, gathering underwriting information, overseeing underwriting specifications, coordinating coverage placement, reviewing and delivering binders and invoices, advising the Client Sales Executive during marketing, preparing and delivering proposals, preparing orders and instructions for the Client Administrator, and managing expiration lists.
  • Act as a leader for service-team members by fostering trust, open communication, cohesive teamwork, problem solving, collaboration, focus on client requirements, familiarity with procedures and quality standards, and professional development.
  • Ensure deliverables satisfy client requirements, cost, and schedule.
  • Work with the department Manager and Director of Client Services to obtain resources, discuss project impediments, and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and clients.
  • Work in a typical interior office environment.
