Commercial Marketing Assistant

Job Introduction

A permanent full-time role for a Commercial Marketing assistant to support a high-performing trade marketing team.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a hands-on role to help the wider team develop and execute marketing initiatives that promote Mail Metro Media’s brands and key commercial messages to advertisers – predominantly media agencies and direct clients.

Main Responsibilities

• You’ll provide general admin support to the marketing team including the processing of invoices and upkeep of our commercial database.
• You’ll research and source branded merchandise and gifts, monitor stock levels and co-ordinate distribution as required.
• You’ll arrange logistics for events and activations such as ordering refreshments and sending promotional material.
• You’ll support the team in the creation and sharing of print, digital and video marketing collateral and ensure it is kept up to date.
• You’ll update our trade website with brand information and company news and effectively report on the engagement.
• You’ll supply brand assets and manage any deliverables associated with media or industry partnerships.

Above all else, you will be confident working autonomously but relish the challenge of getting stuck in and playing your part to help produce creative marketing initiatives that deliver our brand messages to an advertising audience. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile and bring energy to a small, collaborative and busy team that enjoys having some fun along the way!

This role is accountable for:

Admin Support: Assist the trade marketing team with a wide variety of tasks such as invoice processing, sending promotional material and managing mailing lists.

Events and Activations: Manage any related logistics such as collection/delivery of equipment or branding. Source and manage the provision of activities and/or refreshments as and when required.

Merchandise and Gifts: Research general and seasonally relevant ideas from external suppliers and present findings to the wider team. Monitor stock levels, manage orders and co-ordinate distribution throughout the year.

Media and Industry partnerships: Provide brand assets and manage any logistics related to sponsorship of conferences, awards, trade shows etc.

Other: Updating and reporting on trade website, sourcing assets to aid the creation of various marketing collateral, working with sales teams to keep our commercial database up to date.

Person Specification

Required experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ office experience, ideally in marketing or media
• Proof of managing a wide range of tasks in a fast paced environment
• Microsoft, Outlook
• Database/CRM and Salesforce experience desirable but not essential
