Requirements

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
Practical understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals
Proven experience with practical application of containers in both development and production environments
Deep experience with command line interfaces and linux, including scripting

Responsibilities

Architect, automate and support the backbone of Crunchbase on Industry standard platforms and tools such AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform
Build and maintain our custom gateway and network routing infrastructure
Support and improve our build, test and deployment pipelines using DevOps as our central philosophy
Design and develop tools to enhance our developer experience and productivity
Act as a central point of communication for triaging and resolving site issues (including participating in an on-call rotation)
Apply industry-standard methodologies and your insight into our cloud, system, application security, and observability practices
Support our data infrastructure including our storage systems, data pipelines, and machine learning architecture

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with our tools is a plus but not required (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, OpenResty, Terraform, Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Kafka)

Infrastructure Engineering at Crunchbase

As an infrastructure engineer at Crunchbase you will build tooling to enable feature teams to own their solution from commit through to deployment, providing automation, observability and reliability at each step on the path. You’ll take a direct role in resolving our most critical and time-sensitive challenges, and you’ll apply your creativity to improve the reliability of our platform.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
Practical understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals
Proven experience with practical application of containers in both development and production environments
Deep experience with command line interfaces and linux, including scripting
Strong desire to stay up to date with industry tools and standard methodologies
Familiarity with our tools is a plus but not required (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, OpenResty, Terraform, Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Kafka)

Base Salary: $175,000 - $195,000. You may also be entitled to receive equity and benefits.
