Arrow Electronics posts $10B revenue, up 32% YoY with EPS surging 124% to $5.45

Arrow Electronics reported second-quarter results showing revenue of $10 billion, up 32% year-over-year, whilst non-GAAP earnings per share jumped 124% to $5.45. Growth came from multiple sectors including industrial, aerospace, defence and transportation, alongside AI and data centre investment. The Global Components business generated $7.4 billion in sales with operating margin expanding to 5.4%. Book-to-bill ratios exceeded 1 across all three regions, with backlog extending into the first half of 2027. However, the ECS division saw its non-GAAP operating margin fall 100 basis points due to charges from underperforming multiyear contracts. Arrow terminated one distribution agreement and is restructuring another. For the third quarter, the company expects revenue between $9.6 billion and $10.2 billion. Hedge fund holder count increased to 45 from 43.

CEO William Austen attributed the results to broad-based demand and disciplined expense management, with particular strength in the global components segment. The company saw positive trends in industrial, aerospace and defence, and transportation sectors. Arrow provided third-quarter guidance above analyst expectations, projecting revenue of $9.9 billion and adjusted EPS of $4.93 at the midpoint. Operating margin expanded to 3.8%, up from 2.5% year-over-year. Management addressed analyst questions about the component cycle, describing current growth as being in "early innings" with strong backlog momentum supporting further expansion.
