Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in event marketing, with direct experience in event promotion and/or business to business environment
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or equivalent experience in event marketing
- Experience working collaboratively with teams across the organization to successfully execute events
- Experience building a customer-centric events program from the ground up
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to successfully direct multiple projects through completion while accelerating business results
- Data-driven, budget-conscious, creative problem solver
- Experience building a team as our event program scales
- Strong written (copywriting and editing) and verbal communications skills
- Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, and campaign analysis
- Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Expert knowledge of event platforms and measurement
- Excellent with budget management and excel
- Team player
- Familiarity with or a strong interest in learning about environmental efficiency
Responsibilities
- The Director, Event Marketing will be responsible for leading the marketing vision, strategy, planning, and execution of Budderfly's event program including industry tradeshows, hospitalities, bespoke activations and thought leadership programs
- This individual will be responsible for actively measuring event performance and ROI, as well as working collaboratively across the organization to drive attendance and optimize the value of our events
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team and across stakeholders in Sales, Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, Brand and Comms to develop and execute innovative and impactful customer programs
- Responsible for formulation of marketing strategy from beginning to end and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals for events
- Develop formal marketing plans for each event outlining direct marketing, digital marketing and database strategies
- Create and oversee the execution of the digital strategy for search, social media and web content for assigned events
- Deliver a diverse range of projects that align with the business and event marketing goals, evaluate event performance and ROI including lead tracking, surveys, post-event tracking, wrap reports, and recommendations for future events
- Manage a comprehensive event budget; responsible for all aspects of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
- Maintain consistent communications across the organization to ensure consistent alignment and transparency of event goals and strategies
- Execute onsite event management of events (where necessary)
- Oversee all pre-event and post-event communications and marketing initiatives and deliverables
- Strong management of third-party relationships including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with vendors and agencies
