Upstream USA works to reduce unplanned pregnancies by ensuring that people have access to a wide range of contraceptive options. The organization collaborates with healthcare centers across the United States to improve reproductive care and empower individuals to make informed choices about their health. Their approach includes providing training and resources to healthcare providers, which helps them offer comprehensive contraceptive care to patients, especially those at risk of unintended pregnancies. Upstream USA stands out from competitors by focusing on data-driven strategies that have shown measurable results, such as a 24% decrease in unplanned pregnancies in Delaware among specific patient groups. The goal of Upstream USA is to decrease the rate of unplanned pregnancies, which currently represent nearly half of all pregnancies in the U.S., thereby expanding opportunities for individuals and families.
