Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of teaching methods and educational procedures.
  • Must be organized, creative, independent, and self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with program staff and comply with College employee policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, management, staff, and the community.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Current TN Practitioner/Professional License required.
Responsibilities
  • Teach weekly classes, CAPE Level Up 1 and 2, Monday through Friday.
  • Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for HSE Bootcamps.
  • Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
  • Meet with students to provide small group sessions and tutoring.
  • Implement lesson plans and educational programs using the required curriculum, supplies, and resources.
  • Evaluate and document students’ academic progress.
  • Deliver personalized and differentiated instruction to each student using required curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development trainings and bi-weekly staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • ESL Endorsement or TESOL Certification preferred.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
