Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program required.
  • One year of experience as registered nuclear medicine technologist required.
  • A certified nuclear medicine technologist – CNMT, in current standing with the NMTCB or RT(N), currently registered by the ARRT.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association required.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates schedule flexibility, punctuality and availability, and works well under pressure.
  • Communicates/discusses semi complex or involved information; sets priorities; organizes and coordinates a variety of multiple tasks, prioritizing and managing time effectively; meets and establishes time schedules; and works cohesively with all levels of hospital personnel and physicians.
  • Provides personal care and safe transfers, which includes proficiency with adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards, demonstration skills as required.
  • Demonstrates solid interpersonal, customer and problem-solving skills.
  • Handles confidential materials, complies with the corporate compliance plan. Participates in hospital performance improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Keeps both patient and significant others informed of exam status. Responds to patient's request for assistance in a timely manner and follows through to meet patient's need.
  • Performs patient nuclear medicine services according to department policy and procedures and regulatory agency guidance, interprets physician’s orders accurately, assists in maintenance of patient and department records and ensures patient safety.
