Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, general computer operation, and file-sharing technology.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility, dependability, compassion, professionalism, and sensitivity to the needs and experiences of adult learners.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • One or more years of teaching experience.
Responsibilities
  • Provide primary instruction for Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and Career content in assigned classes.
  • Develop curriculum and maintain confidential files and regular records.
  • Complete required professional development and attend team meetings.
  • Integrate technology, manage the classroom, and use integrated teaching approaches.
  • Meet accountability requirements for state Aspire outcomes and minimum levels of performance.
  • Provide career guidance and perform other assigned duties.
  • Manage the Aspire classroom and meet student and program outcomes according to Ohio minimum levels of performance.
  • Accurately complete and submit student enrollment and progress data according to program deadlines.
  • Create and follow lesson plans addressing varied student learning styles and incorporating basic technology tools.
  • Utilize the Ohio Aspire Student Experience Model and maintain all required elements.
  • Complete all state-required professional development by posted deadlines.
