Requirements
  • University or College degree in technical, economic, financial, or business field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in procurement and contract management in a manufacturing/production and/or construction environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Optimize energy cost and energy sourcing process.
  • Provide contract support for procurement activities with focus on commodity forward hedge management for power, gas and diesel, demand response program management for power, petroleum fuels and sustainability projects.
  • Initiate, develop, and negotiate agreements.
  • Support the company in improving environmental footprint via scouting renewable power projects and checking fuel switches.
  • Ensure compliance to procurement agreements, policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues in cross-functional teams in- and outside North America improving processes and exchanging best practices in different energy market setups.
  • Support in developing energy sourcing strategies, improving reporting setup, and advise and assist other employees in negotiations and analysis relating to purchase orders, goods, and service agreements, tendering and contract development.
  • Willingness and ability to travel includes visits to sites in the United States and Canada, energy conferences and meetings, and also to Europe.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and/or interest in electronic bidding/e-auctions and E-procurement is advantageous.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional Accreditation (preferred)
  • Experience with Energy sourcing (Natural Gas, Power and Diesel fuel commodities) and portfolio optimization in North America. (preferred)
