What You'll Be Doing:
- You will be a key person to optimize our energy cost and energy sourcing process via
- providing contract support for procurement activities with focus on commodity forward hedge management for power, gas and diesel, demand response program management for power, petroleum fuels and sustainability projects,
- Initiating, developing, and negotiating agreements.
- In addition, you will support our company in improving our environmental footprint via e.g. scouting renewable power projects and checking fuel switches.
- As the perfect candidate, you ensure compliance to procurement agreements, policies and procedures.
- You will work closely with colleagues in cross-functional teams in- and outside North America improving processes and exchanging best practices in different energy market setups.
- You support us in developing energy sourcing strategies, improving our reporting setup and you will advise and assist other employees in the proper method to conduct negotiations and analyze results relating to purchase orders, goods, and service agreements, tendering and contract development.
- Your willingness and ability to travel includes visits to our sites in the United States and Canada, energy conferences and meetings and also to Europe
What Are We Looking For:
- University or College degree in technical, economic, financial, or business field.
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience in procurement and contract management in a manufacturing/production and/or construction environment.
- Experience and/or interest in electronic bidding/e-auctions and E-procurement is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Supply Chain Management Professional Accreditation (preferred)
- Experience with Energy sourcing (Natural Gas, Power and Diesel fuel commodities) and portfolio optimization in North America. (preferred)
