Requirements
  • Work in an agile environment with designers, program management, product planning, and other stakeholders to prioritize research and business questions
  • Command common qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and be able to make smart choices based on business goals and timelines
  • Design and conduct primary research to understand customer needs and interaction experiences across our array of products, services, and features
  • Deliver timely and accurate research findings to the user experience team, engineering groups, and management
  • Own the customer findings in your areas of coverage and evangelize the customer to design and engineering teams
  • 2+ years experience conducting product-focused user research
  • A statistics background with quantitative experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide insights with storytelling through data visualization
  • Experience conducting research in a technical space (e.g., business intelligence tooling, data warehousing, data integration, data engineering, data governance)
  • Experience conducting benchmark studies
  • Experience working at Microsoft or other enterprise companies
  • A degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or other related fields is preferred
