As Square has grown, so have our sellers – going from businesses with just a few employees, to many (sometimes hundreds or thousands!). Team Management provides business owners and managers with the tools they need to manage their entire team. You will report to the engineering lead and will work on providing permission functionality within Point of Sale and Square Dashboard, plus allowing sellers to track their team’s time with time cards. Team Management helps give our sellers the peace of mind that their business is running smoothly, even if they’re not physically present.

You Will:

• Develop solutions that allow merchants to better manage their teams
• Develop new best practices for team to achieve operational excellence
• Uplevel the technical design and product understanding for the team and lead lower level Software Engineers including Senior team members
• Collaborate and provide guidance on multiple projects at any given time.

Qualifications

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience developing production software
• Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• Experience leading or contributing to medium-to-large feature releases; 
• 5+ years of experience building and working with APIs to deliver product features
• Experience building component-based web apps with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular, or Ember).
• Natural curiosity and desire to build products our merchants depend on.
