- A current Nursing Assistant license in the State of New Hampshire is required.
- Basic Life Support authorization is preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of the date of hire.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice of a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide personal care and emotional support.
- Perform complex clinical skills under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Use basic knowledge of growth and development to provide age-specific patient care.
- Provide basic support to patients and families in response to identified psychosocial needs and cultural and religious preferences.
- Perform clinical tasks within the scope of Licensed Nursing Assistant practice in accordance with Elliot Health System policies and procedures.
- Report observations, symptoms, deviations from normal, and changes in a patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist others with selected patient care activities or tasks as appropriate.
- Document in selected areas of the medical record according to policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
- Follow infection-prevention and universal-precautions policies as appropriate.
- Incorporate safety principles, policies, and procedures into daily practice.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, legal, budget, and company matters and maintain patient privacy and dignity.
