Logistic Lead

Amentum is a trusted partner to United States government agencies, allied governments, and corporations worldwide supporting critical programs across a broad range of domains.  Amentum is hiring a Logistic Lead to perform logistics/analyses support tasks within a logistics element area (ILS planning, maintenance planning, supply support, test and support equipment, packaging/handling/storage/transportation, personnel and training, facilities, data, computer resources, design interface) for systems, subsystems, and equipment on site in Odon, Indiana.

As a Logistics Lead, you will:

• Provide expertise to assess and provide guidance on new and existing acquisition policies and procedures
• Develop and/or analyze Integrated Logistics Support schedules and track Integrated Logistics Support costs and performance.
• Assist in developing a phased logistics approach that defines broad logistics concepts early and then becomes more defined and detailed as programs mature.
• Conduct reliability, maintainability, availability, transportability, hazard, environmental, occupational health, system safety, risk analyses, and other system engineering analyses / studies.
• Provide reports, plans, and other substantiating documentation.
• Evaluate material readiness to conduct mission critical operations and total system evaluation in support of the program.

Other Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead logistics element analyses and studies.
• Create sparing plans, shipping & receiving procedures, work breakdown structures, warehouse layouts
• Develop technical papers, specifications, procedures, and ad hoc reports.
• Control routine logistics correspondence.
• Heavy collaboration with element leads and operation leads
• Clear and quality communication of daily tasking and logistics processes

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics or related field plus 5 years experience
• 10 years logistic experience or equivalent in lieu of a degree
• Good communication skills
• working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications
• organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required
• Position may require travel
• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Secret Clearance
