Head of Business Systems at NexHealth
As the Head of Business systems you will be driving our internal economies-of-scale through improving our data and tooling systems. Success in this role means that we have solid insights to drive our business that is enabled by a well designed data warehouse solution and cross-team collaboration. Additionally, your engineering and support teams have the tools they need to quickly triage and correct customer issues with our back office systems. You’ll accomplish this by having a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, our product, architecture, and leading your teams to make substantive improvements.
You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Bizops to define strategy, develop roadmaps, prioritize, and execute to solve the most pressing problems with fitting solutions. You understand how to hire well and have a track record of maintaining high-performance teams. We are looking for drivers with strong first-principles thinking, and excellent project management skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive high visibility teams responsible that have a significant impact on the company’s ability to solve customer problems and have critical insights.
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
- Work effectively cross-functionally and is able to think rigorously, communicate effectively, and make or coordinate hard decisions and tradeoffs.
- Deep understanding of our customer experience and business strategy to ensure what we build supports our growth
- Lead and mentor the team to solve complex problems with elegant, simple solutions
- Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability.
- Define the team roadmap and lead its execution. You will connect and coordinate business initiatives and team priorities.
- Recruit and build a world-class development team that knows how to deliver great customer experiences.
- Utilize first-principles thinking approach
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of engineering management experience
- 4+ years of software development experience with significant contributions in design and systems architecture of complex systems.
- 2+ years of experience building or working closely with teams developing internal systems.
- Track record of strong hiring and team performance management of both ICs and Managers
- Have led and delivered significant, mission-critical projects with limited resources.
- Effective at driving cross-team and cross organizational change
- Strong technical experience with data warehouses, data pipelines, software design, and CRM solutions.
- Ability to provide valuable input to any technical or product discussion
- Strong understanding of API architectures and how they’re defined in systems
