Shop Inspector
Indianapolis, IN (2nd shift)
As the Shop Inspector for Rolls-Royce, you will ensure the airworthiness of engines and engine components under a 145 repair station and ensuring that regulatory and quality requirements are maintained and comply with all applicable Regulatory Regulations (FAA, EASA, CAAC), Quality Procedures (QP’s), and local work instructions (LOP’s). In this role, you will advocate and promote company policies that include, but are not limited to, product safety, safe work practices, OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and Local policies/regulations. You will use your expertise and knowledge of disassembly, repair and re-assembly of Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines and components in the role. There is an opportunity to work overtime as needed and you will need to be available to work any shift. In this role, you will need to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.

Key Accountabilities:
- Quality control inspections on engines, and engine components, in a Repair Station and Field environment
- Comply with work scope instructions as directed by our Maintenance Operations Center, or team lead
- Operate precision tools and equipment to perform accurate dimensions without error
- Understand, interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA/EASA Advisory Directives and Technical Variances when applicable
- Responsibility for paperwork including log book entries, 8130-3 and return to service documents
- Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all maintenance, prior to approval for return to service
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of experience working with gas turbine engine components and experience as an aviation inspector or as a shop quality representative (DQR) with experience working within an Aviation Repair Station (Part 145) and /or Air Carrier (Part 121), OR
- Associate degree with 1+ years of experience working with gas turbine engine components and experience as an aviation inspector or as a shop quality representative (DQR) with experience working within an Aviation Repair Station (Part 145) and /or Air Carrier (Part 121)
- FAA Mechanic certificate (Part 65)
- This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs) and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.

Preferred Requirements:
