Requirements
  • 3+ years of product management experience with infrastructure-as-code, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning workflows and Terraform’s ecosystem.
  • Experience building migration or upgrade solutions in a technical product.
  • Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, marketing) to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize features based on customer impact and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the strategy for Terraform Migration, ensuring organizations can seamlessly transition between different infrastructure configurations and upgrade their Terraform resources efficiently.
  • Identify key pain points and barriers in migration workflows and develop solutions that streamline and automate these processes.
  • Work closely with the Terraform team to enhance Terraform's migration capabilities while integrating these enhancements into commercial offerings.
  • Develop a holistic view of infrastructure transitions, enabling organizations to migrate and upgrade their configurations with confidence.
  • Own and manage the product roadmap for Terraform Migration, prioritizing features that ensure smooth transition paths for Terraform users.
  • Develop and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to guide engineering teams in building intuitive and scalable migration workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product improvements on time.
  • Engage directly with Terraform users and enterprise customers to understand migration challenges and develop solutions that minimize disruption.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to refine Terraform's migration and upgrade workflows.
  • Develop intuitive tooling that simplifies migration processes, whether moving between different organizational structures, upgrading Terraform versions, or transitioning to new workflows.
  • Partner closely with the wider Terraform team to align on new capabilities that support seamless migration and upgrades.
  • Ensure that Terraform's new features and workflows can have a frictionless migration experience for users managing infrastructure at scale.
  • Advocate for migration-friendly enhancements within Terraform's ecosystem, ensuring alignment with broader product goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and support teams to highlight the value of Terraform's migration capabilities.
  • Develop messaging and enablement materials that help organizations confidently transition between different infrastructure configurations.
