Requirements
  • At least two years of experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment
  • Familiarity with payroll systems. ADP and Workday are both preferred, at least one is essential
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Sound professional judgment and discretion to handle confidential matters
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Responsibilities
  • Support the semi-monthly payroll process from start to finish, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time within our Workday payroll module
  • Understand the US payroll function and process payroll according to regulatory requirements
  • Assist with processing equity transactions including restricted stock units vesting events according to government regulations
  • Assess new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, domestic and international transfers, 401k calculations, timesheet data, compensation changes, employee detail changes, retroactive adjustments, garnishments and supplemental payments entered into Workday HRIS
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing Workday data and reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state withholding regulations, tax forms and employee benefit elections
  • Perform audits across all aspects of the Workday Payroll module to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of payroll data and tax calculations
  • Maintain payroll records according to Datadog's record retention policy and in line with Department of Labor regulations
  • Assist with collecting data for internal and external audits, and ad hoc payroll reports
  • Answer payroll-related questions either through email or via Datadog's fresh service ticket center
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR stakeholders to maintain positive relationships between key functions that impact payroll
  • Distribute correspondence to the employee population when necessary
  • Assist with global payroll related projects and tasks as assigned. This includes projects involving LATAM and EMEA regions
  • Assist with creating presentations that will help to bring projects to fruition
  • Assist with processing international payrolls where necessary
