Requirements
  • Certification in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Technical Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; relevant work experience is required in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to multitask effectively without compromising work quality.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business community members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices in classroom, virtual classroom, and eLearning delivery methods.
  • Familiarity with current technology tools for digital teaching and learning and the ability to remain current with developments in pedagogy and technology-mediated learning.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio.
  • Experience with enterprise learning management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Develop custom learning programs and activities using blended learning approaches, including interactive computer-based training, instructor-led training, and electronic and paper-based performance-support tools and resources.
  • Align and create learning objectives that contribute to proficiency in individual roles and evaluate learning through knowledge checks or assessment questions, including situational and scenario-based questions.
  • Develop visual layouts and designs using technology applications for training materials to enhance the team member learning experience.
  • Complete detailed reviews of training materials and deliverables with editing team members for content accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Consult with internal clients and subject matter experts to understand needs and integrate learning and development strategies for the target audience.
  • Gather, master, synthesize, and organize complex content from subject matter experts, documentation, and individual research.
  • Build adult-learning and technical knowledge and adapt instructional materials between formats, such as converting classroom-based courses to online formats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Technical Communications, or a related field.
