Responsibilities
- Lead teams of in-house attorneys in acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, equity investments and other sophisticated transactions for all Abbott businesses, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions; work closely with senior leaders, the Legal Division, Corporate Licensing & Acquisitions organization, and other Corporate functions; manage outside counsel.
- Be actively involved in all aspects of sophisticated transactions, including structuring transactions, performing due diligence, negotiations, drafting agreements and advising internal constituents.
- Identify issues, develop and evaluate alternatives, provide advice and implement solutions in the context of complex and significant transactions.
- Demonstrate excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, communication skills and organizational skills.
- Balance attention to detail with big picture perspective and execution focus.
- Perform well in a complex, matrixed environment, with the ability to lead, mentor, collaborate, teach and learn from others.
- Integrate contributions from multiple sources, as well as own knowledge and experience to make high impact decisions with limited information.
