Salary Exempt (United States of America)The Director, Business Intelligence and AI Automations will oversee the business intelligence function, and the strategic planning, development, and implementation of our artificial intelligence and automation function, focusing on models and systems that drive efficiency and innovation. This role requires both strong technical and leadership ability, and will work closely with BI analysts, integration and data engineers, and business stakeholders to deploy scalable intelligent automation and machine learning solutions. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects and using artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation bots, and data tools to deliver solutions.

•    Lead the business intelligence function, taking a multi-modal approach to intelligent automation.
•    Lead team of integration specialists and AI developers to guide analysis of complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. 
•    Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. 
•    Design, implement, and manage machine learning programs that align with business objectives, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
•    Provide guidance on the research, development, and deployment of machine learning algorithms and models, including tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, anomaly detection, and recommendation systems.
•    Oversee the collection, preprocessing, and curation of large datasets necessary for training generative models, ensuring data quality and relevance.
•    Design and optimize machine learning pipelines, incorporating data cleaning, feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning.
•    Lead the development of scalable and efficient infrastructure for training, testing, and deploying AI agents, AI assistants, and machine learning models in production environments.
•    Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable machine learning solutions across various domains and applications.
•    Innovation Integration: Stay informed on the latest advancements in AI, automations, and machine learning research and technology, integrating relevant innovations into projects.
•    Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the organization.

• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. 

Required Education and Experience 
•    Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
•    10+ years progressive experience in data science, business intelligence, or related field
•    Experience in data modeling and machine learning algorithms
•    Significant project management experience
•    Experience with SQL, python, R and/or related data analysis and visualization tools
•    Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
•    Working knowledge with API integration capabilities
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
•    Manufacturing industry experience
•    Master’s degree or PhD in data science or related field
