Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or another related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of strong management experience, preferably in Vocational Rehabilitation, WEP Services, and/or Employment Services, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Direct the Community Service staff in the development of new Community Service sites and assignments appropriate for WeCARE participants.
  • Develop vocational staff training materials, policy, and procedures, and train supporting management staff on implementation plans.
  • Assist the Project Director in managing all Employment and Community Services. Maintains an effective plan of organization for the Vocational Rehabilitation Services department with explicit and detailed assignment of responsibility and commensurate delegation of authority.
  • Adhere to the department budget and ensure that the Employment and Community Services operate within guidelines and goals for revenue and expense budgets.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment with matters of significance as it relates to the supervision of the Employment and Community Services program.
  • Compile all statistical data and reports required and requested by contract agencies and for audits.
  • Manage all Community Service and Employment Services progress to meet departmental goals in areas of participant engagement, job placement, and job retention.
  • Conduct measurements to ensure that staff and program components deliver quality services to participants in accordance with overall program objectives.
  • Ensure proper staff training and program development in accordance with the responsibilities of administrative staff positions, and facilitate the growth and development of each job function.
  • Assist the Project Director and QA department in performing reviews in response to Fedcap NYC Inc. or primary contracting agency requests, initiatives, or directives.
  • Provide structure for maintaining accurate department billing.
  • Implement internal controls to confirm that work and production are consistent with regular policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Conduct a review of all billing to vouch for the quality of work performed and ensure that all rules of payment are followed.
