We work in a collaborative, hybrid office doing 3 in-office days a week.

Who You Are

You’ve been building server side applications for a while now and can take a new product from zero to one single handedly. You’re well versed in the pro’s and con’s of modern coding, storage, and caching technologies and frameworks, and know how to architect for growing teams and the eventual separation of responsibilities. You’re very comfortable architecting, monitoring, and managing cloud infrastructures. You’ve lived the pro’s and con’s of balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability and know how to get this right. You know what Frontend Engineers need from a backend API to ensure they’ll have everything they need for a powerful, flexible frontend in the long run.

Golang, Mysql, Javascript/Vue, AWS, Git

What You Will Work On:

Gather requirements
Partner with the VP to produce clean, effective, modular backend services
Implement highly reliable, well tested, well monitored backend services
Research design patterns and decide technical solutions to all manner of technical issues
Code, test, and deploy modern web services
Help hire and develop our growing team

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years experience in server side development
Mastery of modern server side languages, preferably Golang, but others such as Java, C++, Python, Ruby, etc are ok
Proficiency with SQL
Proficiency with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS
