Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and define the project scope and deliverables in compliance with contract documents and client requirements.
  • Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary project team (process, civil, mechanical, radiation physics, instrument control and electrical), ensuring effective communication and collaboration among engineers, CAD designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain supervisory organizational structure and manage career development of assigned project resources, including recruiting, interviewing and selecting staff, establishing training and development programs, and coordinating with functional managers; make decisions on human resource issues and resolve work performance issues with Labour Relations as required.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including scope and change control, subcontractor and supplier management, and risk management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and governance; conduct rigorous risk analysis including Monte Carlo methodology and contingency draw-down curves.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements by developing and enforcing safety programs, training, and corrective action plans to maintain high performance standards.
  • Apply key performance indicators to monitor project health and performance, and establish rigorous reporting protocols to meet contract, corporate, and project oversight requirements.
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain management including scope and change control, requirements management, subcontractor and supplier management and governance for any flow-down requirements from the parent contract to subs and vendors.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; establish and maintain relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and other project stakeholders to keep all parties informed and aligned with project goals.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with corporate standards of ethical conduct, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections, and security clearance protocols.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety including adherence with corporate and customer safety programs, development and enforcement of training and requirements, adherence to corrective action programs and enforcement of performance standards for all of the above.
  • Coordinate with required interfaces including customers, suppliers, Candu Partners; senior executives and department functional managers; and trades personnel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional certification is an asset.
  • Five or more years of experience leading or supporting projects in construction, manufacturing, or engineering services.
  • Experience managing direct reports within a project delivery functional support model.
  • Experience working in a nuclear environment is an asset.
  • Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles.
  • Ability to build and inspire a team to work towards common goals.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for Health and Safety and Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of project delivery methodology, including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology, and inspection and test plans.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture.
  • Demonstrates initiative, decisiveness, and perseverance.
  • Plans and communicates effectively, with good instincts when to engage with stakeholders.

AtkinsRéalis Group, a world-class engineering services and nuclear company, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $2.9 billion, up 13% year-over-year, with full-year revenue reaching $11.0 billion, up 14%. AtkinsRéalis Services revenue increased 17% in Q4 and 16% for the full year. The company achieved diluted earnings per share from Professional Services & Project Management of $2.14 for 2025, up 80%, whilst adjusted diluted EPS reached $3.36, up 88%. Full-year operating cash flow totalled $461 million, and backlog reached a record $21.2 billion as at 31 December 2025. For 2026, AtkinsRéalis expects Engineering Services Regions organic revenue growth of 5-7% and Nuclear revenue of approximately $2.5 billion. Operating cash flow is projected at roughly $500 million.

Ferrovial Buys 5.06% 407 ETR Stake

Ferrovial is set to increase its stake in 407 ETR to 48.29% by acquiring up to 5.06% from AtkinsRéalis for [CAD]2.09 billion. The deal includes a 3.30% acquisition at closing and a 1.76% deferred stake via a put and call option.
