Requirements
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience within a computerized environment.
  • Experience with accounts payables and receivable systems.
  • Working knowledge of O365, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Customer Information Billing Systems, knowledge of rate structures, utility regulations, emergency procedures, and utility industry would be considered assets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills for dealing with internal and external customers.
  • An orientation to deliver excellent customer service.
  • An ability to deal with confrontation and diffuse emotional situations.
  • An ability to work professionally and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
Responsibilities
  • Work with customers, both in person and on the telephone, to respond to billing and service inquiries, connection, and disconnection of services.
  • Coordinate fieldwork with service personnel and process fieldwork orders on the billing system.
  • Initiate collection action as required and negotiate a mutually acceptable payment arrangement with arrears customers.
  • Apply knowledge of emergency procedures to assist with power outages, as required.
  • Liaise with social agencies, governments and First Nations to seek or provide customer information and resolve account related issues.
  • Processing of invoices & expenses from time of receipt through to payment and to respond to vendor queries.
  • Accounts receivable invoice issuing and follow up for late payment.
  • Other office administration duties and support, as well as handling of payments & minor financial duties.

ATCO Acquires NRB for $40 Million
