Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the cloud computing or tech industry
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing business deals
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for a business audience
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage and manage relationships with the C-suite at enterprises and well-funded startups
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and their applications within the energy industry
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to annual and long-term strategic planning cycles for the BDM position
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the cloud technology and energy sectors
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships in the cloud computing space
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with market needs and company goals
  • Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close multimillion-dollar deals, ensuring optimal terms for both the company and clients
  • Track and report on key metrics related to business development activities and outcomes
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions
  • Represent Crusoe Energy at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings, effectively communicating our value proposition and building meaningful connections
