Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of progressive human resources experience in manufacturing is required.
  • Proficiency with human resources information systems and payroll systems is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels is required.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism is required.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs, are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and professionally are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate confidential or sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment are required.
  • The ability to work mostly at a computer workstation while sitting or standing for up to 8 hours per day is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a site human resources partner for the Syracuse division and administer and support human resources programs, including onboarding, benefits, leave management, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Participate in interviews and assist with hiring qualified candidates to meet staffing needs.
  • Support an engaging and smooth onboarding process for employees.
  • Assist leadership in resolving employee concerns or conflicts and escalate sensitive issues to the Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records in the human resources information system, including timely updates and proper electronic documentation.
  • Monitor employee time and attendance to ensure accurate tracking and compliance with policy.
  • Prepare and process weekly payroll and compile necessary reports.
  • Respond to employee, supervisor, and applicant inquiries related to human resources policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of training programs supporting compliance, skill development, and employee growth.
  • Oversee the performance review process to ensure timely completion and alignment with company policy.
  • Track and document compliance with required and optional training.
  • Support and promote corporate wellness initiatives.
  • Enforce safety policies, identify potential hazards, and partner with leadership on corrective actions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and develop trusted relationships across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended human resources best practices.
