World Relief provides humanitarian aid and development services to vulnerable populations, including refugees and communities affected by crises. The organization works by partnering with over 6,000 churches and 95,000 local volunteers to deliver support and resources effectively. Its approach includes private sponsorship programs, such as the Welcome Corps, which allows individuals to sponsor refugees resettling in the U.S. Unlike many other organizations, World Relief emphasizes community involvement and faith-based support, which helps it to mobilize resources and reach those in need more effectively. The goal of World Relief is to create sustainable solutions that improve the lives of those facing hardship and to foster a sense of community and support among those they serve.
