Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive servicing experience, including experience with the full servicing life cycle, is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of loan servicing operations, payment processing, escrow administration, investor reporting, and servicing compliance is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in loan workouts, restructurings, modifications, foreclosures, bankruptcies, real estate owned management, and asset recovery is required.
  • The candidate must be able to assess risk, develop recovery strategies, and drive outcomes in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
  • Experience collaborating with legal counsel, investors, and internal stakeholders to execute resolutions is required.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with executive-level presence are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day loan servicing operations from boarding through payoff.
  • Oversee payment processing, escrow administration, customer inquiries, payoff processing, draw management, and servicing transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, investor, and internal servicing requirements.
  • Develop servicing policies, procedures, and quality control standards that support operational excellence.
  • Monitor servicing key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with the technology team to drive automation, workflow improvements, and technology enhancements that improve servicing efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including subservicers, inspection vendors, and servicing technology providers.
  • Ensure accurate investor reporting, portfolio reporting, reconciliations, and servicing data integrity.
  • Develop and execute strategies for managing delinquent, distressed, and non-performing loans.
  • Oversee loan modifications, extensions, forbearance agreements, restructurings, repayment plans, and negotiated resolutions.
  • Direct foreclosure, bankruptcy, deed-in-lieu, short sale, and real estate owned management activities.
  • Partner with legal counsel to manage litigation and foreclosure timelines while maximizing recoveries.
  • Establish recovery strategies that balance borrower outcomes with portfolio performance.
  • Build, mentor, and develop Core and Special Servicing teams.
  • Establish departmental goals, service standards, productivity metrics, and performance expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve servicing operations and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on servicing strategy, portfolio performance, staffing, and technology investments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and exceptional borrower service.
