Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a quality control position in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience with manual micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators is required.
  • Applicants must demonstrate written and oral communication skills.
  • Applicants must be able to analyze and prioritize information.
  • Applicants must be able to work independently.
  • Applicants must use computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Applicants must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspections, and validate the quality and conformance of purchased and manufactured materials, parts, and components against acceptance criteria, prints, and specifications.
  • Assist with quality functions defined in the Quality Manual, including gauge calibration, inventory, and assessment of nonconforming parts.
  • Develop new skills within the quality department and across departments, including learning CNC and other operations and processes.
  • Investigate product quality issues and determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Assist the Lead Quality Technician with pre-inspection and screening.
  • Ensure production employees understand drawings and parts measurement.
  • Perform process capability studies and periodic statistical process control data input.
  • Maintain organized quality records and correspondence.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Work with Engineering and Production to address product issues.
  • Record measurements and findings in Visual Manufacturing, Microsoft Excel, customer files, and other appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
  • Follow AS9100 requirements, work instructions, and directions from team leaders and managers.
  • Adhere to the agreed work schedule and perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college-level coursework is preferred.
  • Vision system inspection experience is a plus.
