Responsibilities

Own the overall comms strategy.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and thought leaders.
Support company leadership and spokespersons prepare for industry conferences and other media events.
Work cross-functionally to establish Adept’s brand identity and employer brand.
Own the content calendar and work alongside Product, Engineering, Research, and Design teams to draft compelling articles, blog posts, videos, and other multimedia assets.
Lead social media strategy and execution, managing platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Adept’s Discord community.

Position summary:

You will play a pivotal role in communicating the Adept story, building brand awareness, and driving strategies to amplify Adept’s unique take on AGI.

Responsibilities:

Own the overall comms strategy. Work with the team to determine our positioning, what initiatives we want to run, and how to build a comms function.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and thought leaders. Proactively pitch and secure media coverage in top-tier outlets to elevate Adept’s visibility.
Support company leadership and spokespersons prepare for industry conferences and other media events.
Work cross-functionally to establish Adept’s brand identity and employer brand. Integrate brand messaging into both internal-facing and external-facing communication materials.
Own the content calendar and work alongside Product, Engineering, Research, and Design teams to draft compelling articles, blog posts, videos, and other multimedia assets that communicate Adept’s vision, product launches, and thought leadership.
Lead social media strategy and execution, managing platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Adept’s Discord community.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing roles, with a focus on technology or startup environments.
Generalist mindset, and willingness to roll up your sleeves and act as a both a strategy-setter and individual contributor across a range of projects and needs.
Deep interest and understanding of the emerging AI landscape and technologies, industry participants, and topics of interest.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience managing social media platforms and driving engagement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

The pay range for this position in California is $175,000 - $250,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. We also offer competitive equity packages in the form of stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan.
