Requirements
  • 7-10 years of enterprise industry experience at defining infrastructure architecture, with a major focus on resiliency, nonfunctional and security
  • Solid track record with a variety of technologies such as Cloud (Azure, AWS and/or GCP), Server Hardware, Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, z/OS, HP Non-Stop, AS/400), Virtualization, Server Consolidation, Storage Technology, Network Technology, Database Systems, Middleware Technology, Systems Management, ITIL, Collaboration technologies, Software Distribution, BCP / DRP strategies, etc.
  • Solid experience with SOA, REST and MDM Technology as well as a variety of technologies/approaches including J2EE, .NET, mainframe, cloud, vendor products and multi-platform applications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a team environment with projects involving the integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms
  • Ability to quickly evaluate options, make decisions and execute within an intense high-tech environment
  • Awareness and familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks/processes
  • Very strong communication skills (oral, written, facilitation, presentation)
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership abilities, comfortable managing issues in cross functional teams
  • Positive attitude, keeping a constant watch on how to do things better

Responsibilities
  • Develop the strategic vision and architectural direction for infrastructure within the Enterprise
  • Represents Infrastructure Architecture as required at architecture governance reviews, such as ARB (Architecture Review Board), EAB (Enterprise Architecture Board), IAR (Intermediate Architecture Review) etc.
  • Meets with a broad range of business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements for the design of infrastructure solutions
  • Acts as the primary infrastructure contact for applications across the Enterprise, with a focus on resiliency, Safety & Soundness, non-functional requirements, scalability and security that is both pragmatic and that lays the foundation for a long-term strategy
  • Develops infrastructure architecture related artifacts - current and target state, roadmaps, strategies, policies, standards, guidelines
  • Presents technical architecture to clients and forums including the ARB and EAB
  • Advocates architecture principles and provides infrastructure expertise, feedback and development to mentor others
  • Produces infrastructure architecture artefacts including diagrams and blueprints as defined by the PMF/SDLC and reviews with Lead Architects and the key program/project stakeholders
  • Reviews infrastructure architecture to ensure compliance/fit in the portfolio
  • Ensures that new projects / programs meet enterprise application, infrastructure standards and follows enterprise governance framework and processes
  • Facilitates meetings and builds rapport to review infrastructure architecture, decision making and problem solving
  • Resolves technical issues and escalates as appropriate
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to business and technology partners and senior management/executives
  • Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates as appropriate
  • Facilitates knowledge transfer and collaboration to other architects and operational support teams
  • Defines design guidelines and best practices
  • Stays current on technological advancements, identifying potential benefits and risks to the implementation / use of new and evolving technologies
  • Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems
  • Identifies operational or architectural risks and recommends mitigation strategies
  • Leads and/or oversee initiatives to contribute to the ongoing reliability and security of systems/applications
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical area of study (computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.) or other BS/BA degree with a concentration in computer science or information systems. or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Total relevant IT experience of 8-12 years in multiple IT areas, of which at least 5 years doing infrastructure architecture on large programs/projects
  • Cloud Architecture Certifications
  • Knowledge on Database like Oracle RAC, Postgres
  • Knowledge on software defined storage
  • Familiarity or experience with high performance computing
  • Hands on experience on other flavor of Linux like Ubuntu, Debian
  • Experience with open-source technologies and business models
  • Prior experience with the agile development process
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar tool
  • Previous experience doing application migrations from traditional to cloud native.

ARRAY Technologies expands revolving credit facility to $370M and extends maturity to 2031

ARRAY Technologies, a global provider of solar tracking technology, has increased its revolving credit facility from $166 million to $370 million and extended the maturity date from October 2028 to February 2031. The amended facility includes up to $250 million available for letters of credit. Goldman Sachs Bank USA served as lead arranger and administrative agent, with participation from JP Morgan, Wells Fargo Securities, PNC Capital Markets and HSBC Bank USA. The company welcomed three new lenders to its syndicate. The enhanced facility will support operational execution, working capital needs and global growth initiatives. Chief financial officer Keith Jennings said the expansion demonstrates lender confidence in the company's strategy and position as a global leader in utility-scale solar.

Royal Bank of Canada completes $1B offering of limited recourse capital notes

Royal Bank of Canada has completed a US$1 billion registered offering of 6.500% Limited Recourse Capital Notes, Series 8. The notes were issued on 30 January 2026 and will mature on 24 May 2086. Concurrently, RBC issued 1 million Non Cumulative 5 year Fixed Rate Reset First Preferred Shares, Series CA, held by Computershare Trust Company of Canada. RBC Capital Markets, Citigroup Global Markets, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities acted as lead managers and joint bookrunners for the offering. Norton Rose Fulbright served as Canadian co-counsel to RBC on the transaction.

RBC partners with HTS to launch enhanced Avion Rewards Travel booking platform for Canadians

RBC has partnered with HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) to launch an enhanced Avion Rewards Travel platform later this year for all Avion Rewards members. The collaboration brings together Canada's largest proprietary loyalty programme with a leading travel technology platform. The new booking portal will enable members to use Avion points across flights, accommodations, car rentals, activities and packages. It will feature flexible booking options and price insights that recommend optimal flight booking times based on historical and predictive data. Avion credit cardholders will retain exclusive fixed-points pricing on any airline and flight without blackout dates or seating restrictions.
