Requirements
  • A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • An active New Jersey state counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family license is required, including LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or PhD.
  • Prior experience in youth development or engagement and/or serving underserved, multicultural, and multilingual populations is required.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based modalities for therapy and treatment is required.
  • The clinician must be reliable and punctual and able to complete independent tasks while contributing to a collaborative team effort.
  • A commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity within the community is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake interviews and assessments and create and implement treatment and behavioral plans.
  • Use evidence-based interventions to conduct weekly therapy sessions that support achievement of client and family treatment-plan goals.
  • Use electronic health-record software to create and maintain accurate, up-to-date client files, including intake, progress, treatment, discharge, and other required notes, forms, and documents.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assist individuals and families managing mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with client and family wraparound or interdisciplinary team members, including primary care providers, psychiatrists, schools, and care managers, and respond to client, family, and stakeholder requests and communications in a timely manner.
  • Conduct ethical discharge and transition of clients and support their connection to natural and community resources.
  • Participate in supervision and consultation as required based on licensure level and organizational protocol.
  • Follow and maintain ethical guidelines and practices.
  • Provide therapeutic services to children, youth, and families in homes within Middlesex County, in-office, and virtually as needed.
