Highly skilled graphic artist that will set the bar for delivering social media, live sports, university events, studio broadcasts, and more in graphical form. As a primary creator and maintainer of graphics across various mediums, the Manager of Football Creative plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall visual experience for our viewers. Expected to deliver quality, innovation, and creativity. Work closely with leadership, administration officials, and students to ensure the successful delivery of the finished product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage development of industry-leading graphical content.
• Actively involved in the conceptual development of design initiatives.
• Oversee and manage football brand, creative direction, and content quality.
• Provide creative critique and support to design team.
• Work alongside Athletic Creative Team to cover events, practices, games, and recruiting.
• Work closely with football coaches and staff to understand their needs and requests.
• Work closely with football project manager to help delegate tasks and manage workload.
• Ideate content for social media.
• Work closely with social media manager to create a cohesive brand consistent with Liberty brand guidelines.
• Shoot and edit photo/video at practices and games.
• Provide clarity and direction for the football social media strategy.
• Establish processes and initiatives for delivering football's requirements, including recruiting, weekly social content, internal requests, and coaching requests.
• Develop a pipeline of talent through student workers.
• Train and provide constructive feedback to the graphic design team to meet established quality standards.
• Oversee and establish strategic direction for all projects and initiatives.
• Meet aggressive timelines and deadlines.
• Ability to adjust to consistently changing priorities.
• Remain abreast of industry trends.
• Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
• Four-year college or technical school degree with a concentration in Graphic Design preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in graphic design.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is frequently changing. Functions of this position’s responsibility often require one to work after normal business hours and sometimes for long shifts. Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting, and other projects regularly are outdoors, often at athletics events. Work from home may be encouraged or required at times.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
