  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience either as an in-house corporate paralegal, at a law firm, or in a contract management/negotiation position with a company
  • Experience with basic contract legal principles, contract negotiation, contract drafting, and contract management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Meticulously detail oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills, along with strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information, make decisions, and deliver results under deadlines
  • Handle the intake of contract review requests from Arrive's sales and support divisions and manage the contracting process from start to finish, which includes negotiating the contract in conjunction with other members of Arrive's legal team and other stakeholders within Arrive, finalizing and executing the contract, and storing and cataloging the contract within Arrive's contract management system
  • Recognize and analyze potential risks that contract terms, and any changes to those terms, may pose to the company
  • Create and maintain an effective and efficient contract management system and contract database
  • Help define procedures and practices within the company to promote efficient workflows and handling of legal requests
  • Act as a corporate paralegal supporting the General Counsel and other members of the legal team on a variety of tasks, including document drafting, research, conducting searches on corporate matters, participating in due diligence review, and providing legal assistance
  • Update and maintain registrations, certifications, and other records with applicable regulatory authorities or governing bodies
  • Provide excellent customer service to colleagues at all levels by responding to inquiries and requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner
  • Work independently on special projects, as assigned, including, but not limited to, litigation, legal, and regulatory matters
  • Receive and respond to a variety of internal and external inquiries
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of transportation contracts or experience in the freight industry in general is a plus
  • Spoken and written Spanish fluency is a plus
  • Notary commission is a plus
