Requirements
  • State-specific radiology licensure and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Current Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification through the American Heart Association.
  • At least 3 years of technologist experience.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Ability to work long service hours, including 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to the High Point location if needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical MRI scans.
  • Position patients according to established protocols.
  • Evaluate images to ensure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements.
  • Adjust MRI equipment as needed to produce high-quality images.
  • Screen patients for metal implants and review their medical histories.
  • Explain procedures and manage claustrophobic or anxious patients.
  • Calibrate equipment, select appropriate coils, set scanning parameters, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment or willingness to train on Siemens applications.
  • Familiarity with MRI mobile units.
  • Flexibility to provide an additional service day outside the normal schedule.
