Requirements
- State-specific radiology licensure and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in magnetic resonance imaging.
- Current Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification through the American Heart Association.
- At least 3 years of technologist experience.
- Weekend availability.
- Ability to work long service hours, including 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to the High Point location if needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical MRI scans.
- Position patients according to established protocols.
- Evaluate images to ensure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements.
- Adjust MRI equipment as needed to produce high-quality images.
- Screen patients for metal implants and review their medical histories.
- Explain procedures and manage claustrophobic or anxious patients.
- Calibrate equipment, select appropriate coils, set scanning parameters, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment or willingness to train on Siemens applications.
- Familiarity with MRI mobile units.
- Flexibility to provide an additional service day outside the normal schedule.
